Meet Christine & Dave
Christine Eschen and her husband Dave made the wild and wonderful decision to build a lavender farm in 2013, purchasing their 10-acre dream home on top of a hill in Nevada County.
With beautiful views overlooking the Sierra-Nevada Mountain range, Christine embarked on a journey that would fuse her passion for nature with her commitment to wellness through movement.
As a massage therapist and a physical therapist assistant, Christine experienced first-hand the deep connection between body and mind. Through her own wellness journey and through working with others, she discovered how the core-strengthening exercises of Pilates can treat and even eliminate chronic pain.
A Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher and Movement Specialist, Christine founded Hippie Chic Pilates Studio to serve the health and wellness needs of the local community. In an environment that awakens the senses and makes everyone feel more alive, Christine works with clients of all ages and ability levels.
About Très Jolie Lavender Farm
Très Jolie Lavender Farm is home to Hippie Chic Pilates Studio, a beautiful 10-acre property looking out towards Lake Tahoe and the majestic Sierras.
A natural paradise all year long, Très Jolie grows pure lavender flowers without the use of pesticides. During the lavender season, from late spring through early summer, the bees are buzzing and the lavender flowers stretch across the landscape in full bloom.
Christine and Dave harvest the plants by hand, making lavender bouquets, lavender buds, distilled lavender, and products.

Discover the Power of Pilates
Pilates is much more than a collection of exercises. Its goal is complete synchronicity between body and mind—a mastery of movement that cultivates attention with every breath.
Joseph Pilates brought the Method to New York in 1926, which he originally called Contrology, where it became a health and rejuvenation technique for elite athletes. Today, Pilates is used by people of all ages and ability levels to live stronger, healthier, pain-free lives.
You can use specialized pilates equipment to achieve your goals, or you can perform mat-based exercises that work with your own body weight.
Benefits of Pilates

Of course, that just scratches the surface. Contact with Christine to discuss your goals and explore how pilates can help you or book a class.
